Believe it, Jets followers. The unattainable can occur.
Three hundred sixty-four days in the past, Malachi Moore picked off Eagles QB Kyle McCord in the first quarter of preseason Week 3. The Jets then went the complete common season with out doing it again — a first in NFL historical past.
Gang Green didn’t have an interception in its preseason-opening loss to Tampa Bay, but security Andre Cisco lastly put the streak to mattress in the second quarter on Friday.
Six minutes into the quarter, Steelers QB Will Howard dropped back and fired a go toward the entrance of the finish zone. Instead, he discovered the arms of Cisco, who took it back to the 30-yard line.
The very next Steelers drive after the Jets punted, Samuel Womack picked Howard off again. Unfortunately for the Jets, this possession didn’t finish with a rating either — Cade York missed a 59-yard subject purpose try at the halftime buzzer.

Drew Allar, expected to be Pittsburgh’s backup, took over for Howard to start the second half.
The common season pick-less streak still lives on, however. That one dates back to Week 18 in 2024 — technically the first week of January 2025 — when the Jets picked off then-Dolphins QB Tyler Huntley twice to finish the common season.
Aaron Rodgers, now the Steelers’ beginning quarterback, also threw an interception for the Jets on their first offensive snap of the sport.
Maybe we’ll all be here Aug. 20, 2027, for the next Jets interception.
