Can’t blame flopping this time. 

Caitlin Clark and DiJonai Carrington traded photographs again Sunday night time, with Clark getting the last phrase as the Indiana Fever star poured in 37 factors with a career-high eight 3-pointers and 10 assists in a 113-90 dismantling of the Chicago Sky.

The dominant efficiency eradicated the Sky from playoff rivalry as the surging Fever sit firmly in third place in the playoff standings. 

In the second quarter when the recreation still very much hung in the stability, Clark lined up her patented stepback 3-pointer with Carrington trailing behind her.

When Clark drilled the shot to give the Fever a 36-34 lead, she had some phrases for Carrington as they jogged back to the other aspect of the flooring. 

Just prior to that, Carrington appeared to claim that Clark was flopping and mimicked an exaggerated response to contact for the referee.

The Fever led by just six factors coming into the fourth quarter before the Fever broke the Sky’s back on a huge run to finish the recreation.

Carrington gave Clark a little shoulder verify, and Clark just let go with it as she’d go on to dominate the relaxation of the recreation. 

The rivalry between Carrington and the Fever is properly documented as unhealthy blood has flooded the last few video games involving Carrington, Clark and role-playing guard Sophie Cunningham. 

Carrington beforehand poked Clark in the eye in 2024 while Carrington was with the Connecticut Sun. 

Though issues actually came to a head on Aug. 8, just a few weeks in the past, when Carrington fouled Cunningham arduous on a fast-break layup with Carrington coming from behind and hitting her in the neck and head space. 

Carrington was assessed a flagrant one on the flooring before it was upgraded to a flagrant two and she was ejected. 

After her ejection, Carrington posted on X, “WHITE PRIVILEGE” to add to the controversy.

The recreation had a lot of motion, including a weird cameo look by Enes Freedom (previously Enes Kanter), as the Sky’s Natasha Cloud screamed at him while he sat courtside.

Freedom was ejected from the recreation as a bystander in a heated second as he petitions to be in the league as a type of protest for the WNBA’s transgender insurance policies.

The Sky were outscored 30-13 in the fourth quarter in what wound up being a blowout.
