While Trump voters don’t appear to be impressed, Trump has managed to hearth up voters in Minnesota.

Minnesota AG Keith Ellison was requested by Rev. Al Sharpton on his Politics Nation MS NOW program how troubled he was by the administration’s investigation of Omar.

Ellison said:

 It is as troubling as it gets, because it’s very clear that this is nothing other than persecution. It is political persecution based mostly on her criticism of the president, based mostly on her ethnicity as a Somali individual, based mostly on her standing as an immigrant to our nation who has come to this nation and distinguished herself in a multitude of methods, including being our consultant of the fifth Congressional District.

This could not be more concerning when it comes to intimidating folks. Look, if you are a Somali individual or Mexican or a Haitian or any ethnic background, all have been targets of Donald Trump, and folks are pondering that, “If they can do this to her, what can they do to me, who’s not in Congress at all?”

Well, it has an intimidating, chilling impact on folks, but it’s having the reverse impact in Minnesota because proper now we… I just walked into a room full of of us in Rochester, Minnesota, who can’t wait to get out there and knock doorways and marketing campaign and get the vote out. So he’s just serving to encourage us around here. Our sister Ilhan will be robust and stand up to this. We will stand by her.
