The Knicks are retaining their portion of the blockbuster trade with the Raptors last December.

And now the Raptors have both pieces of their return under contract for at least the next three years.

Immanuel Quickley is set to sign a five-year, $175 million contract with Toronto, according to ESPN.

RJ Barrett, the other player sent to the Raptors in exchange for OG Anunoby, is already under contract for the next three seasons.

The Knicks-Raptors trade seemingly has become a win-win for both organizations finding the better fits for their rosters and having their new assets under contract for the foreseeable future.

Toronto, in its rebuild, knew it would be tough to retain Anunoby in free agency and he represented a luxury rather than a necessity on a team in transition.

His injury history also hurt a team lacking star players.

So the Raptors sent him to the Knicks for two starters, receiving Barrett, under contract through the 2026-27 season, plus Quickley, who would have become a restricted free agent without a new deal.

Quickley, the Sixth Man of the Year Award winner in 2023, averaged 18.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists in a starting role spanning his 38 games with the Raptors.

He averaged just 12.9 points per game with the Knicks, albeit in 24.1 minutes compared to 33.3.

Barrett also upped his scoring average from 18.1 points to 21.8 with Toronto with less competition for touches.

Even as those two shined, the Raptors still finished 12th in the Eastern Conference with a 25-57 record.

The Raptors furthered their rebuild in the 2024 Draft by adding four players, including Baylor star Ja’Kobe Walter (No.19) and Houston star guard Jamal Shead (No. 45).

As Toronto has done well in the trade, the Knicks are pleased with their end.

Anunoby thrived in his role with the Knicks and will soon officially sign a five-year, $212.5 million extension that makes the Knicks legitimate threats to the Celtics.
