The Jets cornerback has performed zero defensive snaps for the crew after signing a one-year, $3.5 million contract with the crew in free company.
“It’s been frustrating,” Wright said this week. “I just want to play, that’s it. I think any competitor would be frustrated with not playing.”
The Jets signed Wright after he had 5 interceptions last season for the Bears. He was expected to compete for a beginning job, but a coaching camp damage ended any ideas of a competitors and second-year participant Azareye’h Thomas grabbed the beginning spot.
Thomas has performed effectively since the season began, and there has been no enjoying time for Wright.
Wright was inactive for 4 weeks before being lively for last week’s recreation because Jarvis Brownlee Jr. was inactive due to disciplinary points.

The commerce deadline is Nov. 10, and Wright is a attainable piece the Jets could transfer. Wright said he has not requested for a commerce, but he has spoken to the entrance workplace.
“We’ve spoken. I wouldn’t say necessarily that I want to go somewhere else,” Wright said. “I am just trying to figure out what is best for me, whether that’s here or somewhere else.”
Wright was requested if he would welcome a commerce.
“That wouldn’t be my decision,” Wright said. “That would be [GM Darren] Mougey’s decision.”
Second-year OT Armand Membou faces a powerful problem this week against Raiders celebrity Maxx Crosby.
“I feel like games like these show you how good you are, going against a great player like him,” Membou said. “I’m definitely very excited for the opportunity. At the same time, I know the workload I’m going to have on Sunday. I’m just getting my mind right.”
Coach Aaron Glenn said he spoke to Membou this week about the matchup and informed the sort out he believes in him.
“There’s going to be times he’s going to be one-on-one, so go be the guy we all know you can be, the guy that trained his ass off during the offseason getting into training camp, and going into now,” Glenn said. “Even though I had that talk with him, he doesn’t need that, he knows exactly what he needs to do and he has all the confidence in the world in himself, and we do too.”
The Jets positioned NT T’Vondre Sweat (knee) on injured reserve. They signed NT Payton Page to the lively roster to take his roster spot. They also elevated OT Brant Banks and edge Quinton Bell off the apply squad for Sunday’s recreation.
