Seven individuals were killed when gunmen opened hearth on a funeral in central Jordan, a authorities spokesperson has said.

At least another 34 individuals were injured in the church in the Karak governorate on Friday.

The unidentified gunmen are reported to have arrived in a automobile and started taking pictures inside the church before fleeing the scene.

Security forces have been deployed to the space after the “heinous” attack, authorities spokesman Mohammad al-Momani said.
