China’s Alibaba on Sunday launched a HK$80-billion ($10.2 billion) share placement to fund synthetic intelligence-related improvement.
A deal by the Chinese e-commerce and cloud computing big would mark the largest-ever major follow-on providing by a Hong Kong-listed firm.
It would rank as the world’s third-largest major follow-on share sale this 12 months after choices from Alphabet and Intel.

The firm’s share providing has been met with sturdy demand from buyers, including sovereign wealth funds, two folks acquainted with the deal informed Reuters. They could not be named because the data was not public.
